If you are looking for a unique dining experience (away from the bustling city) while watching your wallet, I would highly recommend you to try what The Summerhouse has to offer. This wonderful upscale restaurant is quietly parked near Seletar Airbase at 3 Park Lane, Singapore 798387, which also welcome pet owners and their pets to dine in (ground floor). Just saying, Barack Obama dined there with our Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong 2 years ago.
Hubby and I decided to try out their Brunch Menu instead of having dinner there because we wanted to explore our way around the Seletar Airbase. We went for the Communal Brunch, which was available Saturday, Sunday & PH 11:30am to 3:00pm @$48 per person ++ , min 2 pax. However you are more than welcome to order from their a la carte menu.
To start, we ordered:
1. Australian Avocado
Ikura | Truffle Pecorino | Chive | Sous Vide Egg Yolk | Chia Seed Cracker
2. Creamy Abalone Mushroom Soup
Our mains were:
1. US Prime Short Rib Hash
Pickled Short Rib And Potato Hash | Fried Egg
2. Mayura Brisket
Roast Organic Root Vegetables| Duck Fat Potatoes| selection of Sauces & Condiments
As for dessert (to share):
William Pear| Almond Flakes| Crème Fraiche
Atmosphere: Wonderful, presented itself with fine dining qualities
Servers: Polite, Friendly and always ready to serve
Food: Definitely serves a shout out and compliments to the chef(s). The freshness, the taste and presentation was better than expected.
I would strongly suggest you to make reservations especially during weekends. After the meal, take a stroll around the area e.g. they have playgrounds, parks and if you are adventurous like us, take a walk down to Soek Seng 1954 Bicycle Cafe to watch private jets take off!
I am just someone who lives in a small country called the "red dot", Singapore.
